Volunteering

Want to volunteer?

Volunteer work is any activity in the community for which someone undertakes a specific task but receives no payment. The work itself is generally for charities, community organisations and agencies that offer services or support to the community rather than to make profit.

Why volunteer?

Who can volunteer?

How we can help:

  • We will identify the type of volunteering that would best suit you and find the right opportunity to match your time and availability
  • Access any training you may need
  • Help you to make the most of your volunteering experience
  • Enable you to share your experience with other volunteers

Any information you give us is confidential and will not be passed on to any other organisation or individual without your consent. Meetings with prospective volunteers can be held in a private interview room.
