NAVCA Quality Award

In September 2006 Voluntary Action West Kent were awarded the National Association of Voluntary & Community Action Quality Award. Based on a set of 5 outcome-focused Performance Standards, achievement of the NAVCA Quality Award gives an authoritative endorsement for the effectiveness of local infrastructure organisations.

The NAVCA Quality Award covers the delivery of services to the local voluntary and community sector. To achieve the Award, local infrastructure organisations have to demonstrate the quality and impact of their services, through a rigorous process that includes an external audit and interviews with service users and funders.

Voluntary Action West Kent is the first organisation in the South East to gain the award, and one of only six nationally.

Kevin Curley, Chief Executive of NAVCA, says "We are delighted to announce the first six organisations to obtain the new NAVCA Quality Award. They have demonstrated that they deliver high quality infrastructure services to their local voluntary and community sector."
