Dial
2 Drive is a Community Transport Scheme covering South West Kent. Volunteers assist through the provision of transport to social and medical appointments, lunch clubs, day centres and to visit relatives. Volunteers use their own cars receiving expenses payments for journeys carried out. Assistance is also offered with small practical tasks such as help with form filling, IT, prescription collection and shopping. Dial 2 Drive offers social trips during the summer months to local places of interest in partnership with other local organisations. Minibus shopping trips are offered to members living in the Sevenoaks District area.

was set up as a response to requests from older people’s organisations that they didn’t have the opportunity to network and share new projects, contacts and event information. The group is open to any provider of services to older people, both voluntary and statutory and launched in April 2010.
Youth volunteering through VSU projects offer older people the chance to meet young volunteers and carry out activities appropriate to age and ability.
The Development Team can assist older people’s projects and groups to access funding opportunities, help with policy updates and constitutional advice.
The Tunbridge Wells Over Fifties Forum (TWOFF) is run by older people for older people and was launched with the help and practical support of VAWK, Age UK and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council in 2009.
Sevenoaks District Seniors Action Forum
(SDSAF) was initiated and continues to be supported by VAWK, Age UK, Sevenoaks District Council, West Kent Housing and Swanley Volunteer Centre. It was launched on International Day of Older People on the 1st October 2010.
